Q. Also, considering your recent experience on Bad Boy Records, what do you have to say to those that believe Diddy only focuses on promoting himself, not his artists?
A. Well, it is his label. He is the biggest artist on his label. So usually the biggest artist gets all the attention or at least most of the attention. That's the way I look at it... me and MJG... [laughs]. We're not moving in with him. We're just doing our business trying to make good music and put our stuff out there. I don't know, maybe we don’t get everything that we should get at Bad Boy but I think sometimes the blame lies on us too because there's a lot we could do sometimes to make that happen. For people who have bullshit and bad shit to say about Diddy... I wasn't there for their experiences and I can only speak from my experiences at Bad Boy.
Q. Speaking of Bad Boy, the streets are waiting for your upcoming LP, Ridin' High, which is to be released in 2007. What can we expect from the new album?
A. Well, as far as features we got Pimp C, Bun B,.Jazzy Pha, Juvenile, Killer Mike, 112, Project Pat, DJ Nasty, Three 6 Mafia... Montana Tracks production.

Only after Post inquires - and following a reporter's purchase of a dog-fur coat yesterday afternoon - did a saleswoman finally pull the coats from a rack, citing a "problem" with them. Orlando Veras, a spokesman at Macy's, a division of Federated Department Stores Inc., confirmed Friday that the retailer had removed the jackets, releasing a statement saying that it has a "long-standing policy against the selling of any dog or cat fur." He continued, "This policy is clearly communicated to all suppliers." The Sean John jackets -- one a snorkel style, the other a classic version -- had been labeled "raccoon fur," but were advertised as faux fur, Pacelle said.
In a statement by Sean "Diddy" Combs released by his publicist Hampton Carney, the designer said: "I was completely unaware of the nature of this material, but as soon as we were alerted, the garments were pulled off the Macy's floor and Web site. I have instructed our outerwear licensee to cease the production of any garments using this material immediately."No word on any further details.
Sean 'Diddy' Combs and girlfriend Kim Porter became parents of twin daughters. As Porter gave birth to the first arrival at 7:57 AM and followed by the second one two minutes later in a Manhattan hospital, said a Combs spokesman Robert Zimmerman. No names were announced at the time. Zimmerman went on to say, "Diddy received an early Christmas gift," said Zimmerman. "Both Kim and the girls are doing great."

The Humane Society Of The United States (HSUS) claim MACy's department store chain is selling a coat advertised as having an "imitation rabbit fur collar" and "nylon/faux fur/goose down". The HSUS bought the article, only to find the labels stated the jacket was made from "genuine raccoon fur".Nonetheless, if true the retailer MACY's will remove the merchandise as part of store policy.

Christopher Wallace was a Brooklyn drug dealer, and, if his early interviews are to be believed, not a very nice one. Luckily, this was not his signal accomplishment. On Ready to Die Wallace took his street corner experiences and filtered them through his considerable charm. The result was a record that mixed long stretches of menace ("Things Done Changed," "Everyday Struggle") with romance ("One More Chance") and lots of humor. No rapper ever made multi-syllabic rhymes ("Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis/ When I was dead broke man I couldn't picture this") sound as smooth.
Sean "Diddy" Combs is transferring his Broadway experience to the small screen in a new television movie adaptation of Lorraine Hansberry's A Raisin in the Sun. Production recently started on the three-hour feature in Toronto, Canada. The feature will air on ABC during the 2007 season. Combs, who received critical acclaim for his portrayal of Walter Lee Jr. in the theatrical version of the drama, will reunite with fellow castmates Phylicia Rashad, Audra McDonald and Sanaa Lathan.No word on the ABC Television premiere.
The case of whistle-blowing has more implications, according to NBC4, involving allegations of a coverup in a major LAPD homicide investigation -- the murder of rap artist, Biggie Smalls.The rapper's murder back in the 1990s is entangled in the sexual harassment litigation because officer Christle was part of an LAPD team that reviewed the investigative files, Chatman reported. Christle and her lawyer claim some of the information she prepared has disappeared and was never forwarded to the rapper's family as ordered by the courts, according to NBC4.
Diddy aims to repeat the success of Making The Band 3's all female band, Danity Kane, by launching a search for male singers. "If your voice rivals Justin Timberlake's. . . and you put Usher to shame on the dance floor. You may have what it takes to make the band," touts a MySpace page set up to announce the nationwide casting call. According to the website, auditions will be held in Los Angeles, Houston, Orlando, Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit and New York City for male singers who are at least 18 years old or older, but no rappers.

Sylvester Stallone was slated to write, direct and star in a film about the deaths of murdered hip hop rap icons Tupac (2Pac) and Biggie and the Los Angeles Police Department corruption scandal that lurks beneath the story. The film has had many 'working' titles including 'Rampart Scandal', 'Notorious', 'A Detective's Requiem', and 'Thugz Lives'. The film was to center on a massive internal investigation of the LAPD that some say links off-duty officers to the murders of the slain hip hop icons Tupac Shakur (2Pac) and Christopher Wallace, a.k.a. Notorious B.I.G.. Sylvester Stallone has said recently that his plans have stalled and the movie may never make its planned debut on HBO.
Commenting on the film Stallone says "The story was like a modern-day noir written from the point of view of a Detective [Russell] Poole, who basically was railroaded out of the police department because the more he investigated, the dirtier the high rollers in city hall and police commissions and DA offices all appeared to be part of a conspiracy to squash this case. I don't think it'll ever be done because of the amount of lawsuits that would be filed."

Last week, a mysterious company, Bridgeport Music Inc., sued hip-hop mogul Jay-Z, accusing him of breaking the law when he recorded his 2003 single "Justify My Thug." The song is an obvious nod to Madonna's "Justify My Love," but she is not the plaintiff. Instead, Bridgeport is suing because Jay-Z did something that is normal in hip-hop: sampling. He took a few notes, looped them in the background, and produced the tune. Bridgeport claims to own those notes, and is demanding a fortune in damages and a permanent ban on the distribution of the song. Bridgeport is an unwelcome addition to the music world: the "sample troll." Similar to its cousins the patent trolls, Bridgeport and companies like it hold portfolios of old rights (sometimes accumulated in dubious fashion) and use lawsuits to extort money from successful music artists for routine sampling, no matter how minimal or unnoticeable.
March of this year, Bridgeport cashed in. It convinced a court to enjoin the sales of the best-selling Notorious B.I.G. album Ready to Die for illegal sampling. A jury awarded Bridgeport more than $4 million in damages.

At the time, Porter and Combs were living together. But as soon as she caught wind of the Lopez affair, Porter kicked her man out ("of my own house," Diddy points out indignantly) and changed the locks."I told him someone's got to go, and it isn't going to be me and these kids," she remembers.
Combs moved into a hotel but ignored Porter's wishes to be left alone, continuing to stop by the house whenever he pleased.
"It was like my life was not my own," says Porter. "He was very, very intrusive."
The couple would eventually end up in the Manhattan Family Courthouse to hash out a visitation agreement, which Combs admits he did not stick to.
"He would say he needed to see his son, but I was at a place where just the sight of him would turn my stomach," Porter recalls. "My feeling was, you made this decision, now stay over there. I can't repeat everything I said at the time, because it's really not that ladylike. But I was very expressive about it."
In fact, she reluctantly admits that one day she got so angry she threw a television at Combs. "It was a small one," she says.

It's just like when you are producing as much as I was producing -- everybody from Biggie to Jay(-Z) to Snoop (Dogg) to Barry White to Sting to Aretha Franklin, Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson -- sometimes you just need to stop the monotony.
So I ran a marathon. Starred on Broadway. Did some TV shows. And I just went into the studio to create. ... It was the first time I went in as an artist, and I didn't go in with any expectations. And I said if I came up with something fresh and new, then I would put it out.
"It's only fair that since he said he used Diddy first, that he be allowed to use it."
"I am blessed that I have many, many names to choose from and on October 17th, Press Play will be released from Diddy in the U.S. and from P.Diddy in Europe."
It appears Bad Boy Records has officially launched the much anticipated Diddy.com, as its been rumored since June. Diddy.com is yet to be fully-launched, with mobile updates, and Diddy news. The website features, 'Diddy returns October 17' promoting Press Play. The original DiddyOnline.com is still operational.
Sean Combs is Diddy no more _ at least in Britain. The musician and entertainment mogul has agreed to drop the Diddy name as part of an out-of court legal settlement with London-based music producer Richard "Diddy" Dearlove, the law firm representing Dearlove said Monday.
Solicitors Jens Hills & Co. said Combs had agreed to "rebrand his commercial activities" in Britain and would "no longer be able to trade in the U.K. as 'Diddy.'" Combs' lawyer, Nigel Calvert, could not immediately be reached for comment.Dearlove launched a lawsuit for unfair competition, claiming the name change had caused confusion. The case had been due to go to the High Court next month.
"I started getting e-mails from Puerto Rican girls asking if they could be in my video and people were asking me to look at their clothing line," Dearlove was quoted as saying by The Guardian newspaper.

I came into the music game through Tupac. I was really close to his family. Pac would take me with him and we would just grind together. I didnt really take it seriously, like how I do now; it was just my homeboys in the crew. From 95 to 96 [I] started dealing with Suave House8Ball & MJG, Tela, Crime Boss and all them.Who did Boyz N Da Hood originally consist of?
I wanted an underground groupa real rap group. When I first came with Boyz N Da Hood, it was T.I., Sean Paul from Youngbloodz, Trick Daddy and Jody [Breeze]. This was in 2002. We made like nine records together, but T.I. went to jail, Trick Daddy had issues with his label Slip-N-Slide, and this was when Arista went over to Jive, and Sean Paul was in that mix with the Youngbloodz. So I had to come back down to the South and I had to make some cats. Jeezy was doing his thing in the hood. Ive known Jeezy since he was like 11, 12 years old, so I knew he was official. I knew Duke from the hood through Suave House, through Noontime. Big Gee was signed to me through Block Entertainment and then Jody was signed to me through Sho Nuff. I put these cats together and everybody really repped what they were for.Now that Jeezy has left, whats going to happen to the group?
When I first started Boyz N Da Hood, it was about the movement of taking cats without deals, and bringing them deals. Jeezy, he double platinum right now. Jeezy hot now so he coming and bringing us up, so I can continue to help. Rick Ross is in the grouphes always been a part of my movement, he was one of my first artists. Lil Wayne is still a part of it. Waynes on 15 records already, the albums done. But Im getting callsPaul Wall wanna be a part of it, Slim Thug wanna be a part of it, I talked to Beanie Sigel about it. What I might do next is an album called One Nation, Remember how Pac was gonna do an album with the best rappers from the East Side and the best rappers from the West Side? Thats what I may do with Boyz N Da Hood on this album because people want to be a part of the movement.Why wasnt Yung Joc put in BNDH?

One can expect him to dine proper, the mogul himself had a few demands to be met. According to the UK Daily Mirror, Diddy on a recent European promotion stop in London, was less than impressed with cheap plastic plates and cup that the BBC Radio 1 had in preparation for an appearance. A source told the Mirror: "We had pulled out all the stops to make sure Diddy was happy, putting on a nice spread for him. "But when he saw the plates and cups he refused to eat or drink anything from them. So we sent staff out to a local cafe' and borrowed some china plates, cups and cutlery. After that Diddy was as charming as ever."
On a side note, the Bad Boy posse was traveling 15 strong in a $300,000 bulletproof Maybach car. But, of course $300,000 bulletproof car can cause some problems of its own, being to large for the hotel entrance.
Diddy gets $11 million dollar jewel stolen: On the European tour, Combs had a prized necklace valued at eleven million dollars stolen, "He was livid when he found the necklace had been stolen. He loves being extravagant and his collection of flash jewellery is his prized possession.” A source told the Mirror newspaper.
