Diddy aims to repeat the success of Making The Band 3's all female band, Danity Kane, by launching a search for male singers. "If your voice rivals Justin Timberlake's. . . and you put Usher to shame on the dance floor. You may have what it takes to make the band," touts a MySpace page set up to announce the nationwide casting call. According to the website, auditions will be held in Los Angeles, Houston, Orlando, Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit and New York City for male singers who are at least 18 years old or older, but no rappers.

We are so mad!!!!!!!!!!!!!How could you cut Lewis aka Dre and keep Donnie he can't sing or dance. You made a really big mistake. You also made a mistake by cutting Tyrice. I feel sorry for Chris too . I know he couldn't sing but you could have sent him home the first time instead of having him think he had a chance. The "new boys" could have stayed where they were and you could have left the "old boys" alone. I have never seen a series on this show where you cut people and bring others in. This is the craziest thing i have ever seen. They worked their butts off for you . They walked around for 2 days in the cold singing and raising money for the homeless. What did the new boys do? Nothing!!!! All they had to do was sing 1 time and that was it. You really should have left Lewis and Tyrice on there they were really good singers.I thought you were looking for singers that could make the women want to see them. Well Lewis was the perfect candidate for that. You really need to bring him back.
ReplyDeleteDeAngelo has a beautiful voice. It's been a while since we've had a raw singer with a smooth voice like his. DeAngelo's raw talent is needed in the industry. I love the other old guys especially Carlos, Robert, Brian (with the braids to the back), Dan, Donnie and Big Mike.

ReplyDeleteI think that the last episode was a mess. I don't think Diddy should have let more men in the house. I think the competition should have been with the crew that he already had. Things like that onle caused more drama and problems in the house. Beyond all that, I also that what he did to Mike was kind of mean, although Mike did deliver. Diddy thought that he was going to do bad, but he won that female heart and he won mine as well. I got goosebumps when he was singing, I do hope that he is apart of the group that Diddy plans to make. Also Mike Bivins only makes the show more enjoyable to watch as well, but I shall save that for another day and comment.

i agree about looking for singers that make the women want to see them. I for one, think that Makio should've stayed.... he's a great singer, dancer, and definately has the look and will have the ladies swooning like crazy! Lewis was another guy who should've stayed. i have to say, the new guys do not have the look, and i bet they can't dance as well as the original guys. i'll still be watching the show though... gotta cheer on the old guys!

This message is to Diddy. I will not be watching Making the Band 4 anymore. I am no longer interested in the band you are making after this last cut. Dan is a preformer that has much heart, can dance better than most and has a singing voice like a beautiful instrument. I can understand if he was just no in your vision of the band, but the reason you gave when cutting him was bordering bigoted. Saying that basically you were all done with the "white guy trying to sing with soul". It seemed clear to me that Dan DOES have soul. I just watched what I thought was the last show and that the band was going to be picked. I truely believe that Mike and Donnie belong in the band. They are all very talented men and it would be nice if you could make two groups!! You could see that Mike made a change and that shows heart and it a inspiration to people , that if you really want something you hold the power to change it and his voice is something else. And Donnie he is gorgeous and has come along way. You can tell that he has made major improvements on the two months also. He is more confident with everything and not cocky like some of them it is one thing to be sure of yourself but to be cocky about it I would want my sons to be like. Donnie and Mike are two people that I would love my boys to look up to. I also agree Dan should have never been cut ....he has talent!!

ReplyDeletebecause all of them great and what ever half you don't pick please know that somene else is going to pick up the other half of the singers and start a band, so why not just keep both that's more money and more fans.you guys always have multiple single artists. why not have multiple group artist. They are all off the chain. Go for two different images. But if you had to pick my favorites are mike, robert, donnie, parnell and the one who took his shirt off at the new edition concert.
I was truly upset when Diddy sent Julius home. When he sang Can U Stand the Rain he won my heart. He had so much talent and much more than most of the guys that are there now. That was a big mistake.

I was sorry to see julius and carlos go but on a big performance you can't forget your lyrics because of things waying heavy on your mind. I would love to see Robert and Big Mike in the Band. All I have to say is you have to pick Big Mike because he is a very very very good singer and he even lost soe wait for you. It shouldnt matter what his weight is right now as long as he is making the band sound good. You also have to pick Donnie he is one of the best singers up there and you kow it that is why you didnt cut him for talking back to you when you said he couldnt dance. I have something to say about that you made him say sorry to you but you didnt sa sorry to him when you found out that they had to learn that dance in one day shame shame shame. ReplyDeleteI have been watching your show for a while now and it is a joy to watch. Also,I think it is a blessing for you to even get a show together like this for people that need to be discovered for their talent that may not have even been discovered if it was not for your thought of making a band. There are so many well talented people in the world that never gets a change in the music industry because they either don't know where to go and try or they can't afford to pay to be discovered elsewhere. But by you coming to certain towns and giving people a chance is absolutely incredible. As for the guys on the show now waiting to be chose for the group I have to say I can see how hard it is for you. They all have great talent and looks. I have been trying to make up my mind for the band too and every time I try I end up changing them out. Like some other persons comment they I read ( make 2 bands) or my thought has been just to make one big band out of all of them. But I know that's not going to happen so, I'm just going to go ahead and give the 4 names that I think should be chosen : Willie,Brian H.,Robert,De'Angelo. That's pretty hard because the other guys are so great also. But the one reason that I chose these 4 is because of there looks together. They have the right height & size to fit a group. Even though Q, Donnie & Dyshon have a little height on them too they just don't look as good as these guys do as a group. I really hope that someone will pick up on these guys a give them a chance to let the world hear what they have to offer (great entertainment). And Mike Bivens I can see how much you really like Mikes singing so if he don't make the band surely you will pick up on him in the industry so he can be a performer we would really like to see & hear more of him for the years to come. I really like him and he has really took on a better more healthy look. And P. telling him to lose weight only helped him in more than one way. Quanell has a lot of courage, Dyshon just don't have the look but needs to be on a record label, Donnie is going to be chose by someone anyway, Brian A. is great also someone should definately put him on their record label. No matter what you do Keep Big Mike. He is the best. & Donnie .. he is a good dancer but i do not think he has the voice for the band so i would not keep him. Thats what i think. ReplyDeleteQwanell- he is the best dancer there...period. dont even bother trying to argue that fact, has an amazing attitude towards the whole band thing,gets along with everybody and can sing really well when he puts his mind to it.
Donnie- everybody hates on Donnie for some reason and I have no idea why. He has an extraordinary voice...no one else there has a smooth soprano voice like his...oh, and he CAN dance..if people would just look aside the fact that he is white...they would see that.
Big Mike- that has to be the sexiest big boy I have ever seen... his voice is simply beautiful and when he starts to dance it's like wow.....i mean he can move just as well as the other guys and to me he doesnt need to lose any more weight. Oh, and also his eyes are sexy...who sed fat boys cant be sexy?
Willie- his voice is simply..WOW his vocal range is vicious...oh, and that body...wow. Also, he has never fought with anyone on the show. He has such a great attitude towards everyone else...and I think he would be a great addition to the group.

ReplyDeleteI didn't really get into the show until I saw the last episode when the fellas opened for NEW EDITION & thought Diddy was going to make the band. Before this I'd watch it if nothing else was on. Robert's performan truely drew me in & won me over & made me watch the marathon so I could catch up on the show.
ReplyDeleteIt's a tough to say who should make the band they all have nice vocal abilities, but my favorites are JEREMY, WILLIE, Robert, Mike & DeAngelo. Brian H. is too whiny & always on the defensive, but I like his voice & new look. Brian A. is ok, just don't see star in him though. Qwanell sings nice, but when he opens his mouth he's not aesthetic & he lacks maturity.
I can't stand Dyshon from the & that other white guy that got booted get on my nerves. The other white guy needed 2 go because R&B is not his thing & he didn't feel the music. The exposure should help him get in the right genre.
I disagree with everyone else about Diddy should've let Chris go almong time ago. Although Chris was not a strong singer he could've gotten away with doing backup. Chris was his own worse enemy, he kept saying I know I'm not a good singer as opposed to working extra hard 2 get better. His self doubt got him kicked off. Diddy gave him a chance & he blew it. NO GROUP is hardly made up of all lead singers.
Can't wait to see who makes the band August 26.

DeAngelo should have been in The Band or given a solo deal. However, I do realize his sytle is different from the others. DeAngelo has raw talent and would be a great solo artist. Hopefully, Diddy or another label would give him a deal. Donnie is OK, but I can't see him as a solo artist. I'm very happy for the others especially Brian Andrews.

ReplyDeleteMy favorites were Brian A and Big Mike. They are my fav's. I'm glad they made the band. The others that made it are okay, too. I didn't care for Dyshon. He was into himself. I do miss Carlos. He would make a great solo artist. His looks and style attract. You know whatcha doing, Diddy when it comes to Donnie. He's so popular that if you didn't sign him other labels would have snatched him up so fast. He's gonna make more money that The Band in my estimate.

ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed watching making the band 4 My main concern was that mike no matter what size he was made the band. although he was a big guy he kept up with all the moves and the music. Size never matters it's the person. So i want to thank you guys for making him apart of the band i don't think you will be disappointed. His determination is taking him a long way so i hope he keep up the good work by keeping that determination.
