Aguilera Sends Gifts to Diddy Twins

The beautiful Christina Aguilera sent the Diddy/Porter newborn twins a basketball full of gifts, according to Sawf.org.
Christina Aguilera seems to be well aware of girls' likings, for the pop diva sent a giant gift basket of baby items for Diddy's newborn twin girls, D'Lila Star and Jessie James.
The basketball was valued over a thousand dollars, for what was inside:

The basket included two of every item for Diddy's kiddies, and consisted of frog slippers, hand-embroidered clothing sets, musical teddy bears, pink cherry shoes, chenille pillows, mobiles, and leather diaper bags which retail for 340 each dollars.

8 Ball on Bad Boy

In a interview with YO Raps talks to 8 Ball as he discusses everything from Diddy to Bad Boy to their next year LP release.

Q. Also, considering your recent experience on Bad Boy Records, what do you have to say to those that believe Diddy only focuses on promoting himself, not his artists?

A. Well, it is his label. He is the biggest artist on his label. So usually the biggest artist gets all the attention or at least most of the attention. That's the way I look at it... me and MJG... [laughs]. We're not moving in with him. We're just doing our business trying to make good music and put our stuff out there. I don't know, maybe we don’t get everything that we should get at Bad Boy but I think sometimes the blame lies on us too because there's a lot we could do sometimes to make that happen. For people who have bullshit and bad shit to say about Diddy... I wasn't there for their experiences and I can only speak from my experiences at Bad Boy.
Q. Speaking of Bad Boy, the streets are waiting for your upcoming LP, Ridin' High, which is to be released in 2007. What can we expect from the new album?

A. Well, as far as features we got Pimp C, Bun B,.Jazzy Pha, Juvenile, Killer Mike, 112, Project Pat, DJ Nasty, Three 6 Mafia... Montana Tracks production.

Diddy to Sell Photos of Twins to Magazine

The New York Post, reports...
Our spies say the hip-hop fashion impresario is in secret negotiations to sell exclusive photos of his bouncing bundles of joy, D'Lila Star and Jessie James - who were born at Mount Sinai hospital here on Thursday - to a "major magazine" for an equally major sum.
Like all celebrities I'm sure this is true..

Sean John Jackets Finally Pulled

The New York Post reports, the Sean John flagship store on fifth avenue in NY. Was slow at pulling the Sean John dog fur jacket thats been questioned, in addition th retailer mislabeled the fur as "faux."
the $280 snorkel coats were still on display in the windows and on the racks at his Fifth Avenue flagship. And the coats were still erroneously labeled as made with raccoon fur - not that of the strange-looking dog. Macy's did pull the coats from its stores and Web site. The retailer had compounded the controversy by erroneously tagging the coats as containing "faux" fur. Even Combs' store employees were confused, first saying the fur was coyote, then rabbit. The fur fight "shows the complex ways in which consumers can be duped," said Michael Markarian, executive director of the Humane Society of the United States.

Only later the SJ Jockets were later pulled from the racks.
Only after Post inquires - and following a reporter's purchase of a dog-fur coat yesterday afternoon - did a saleswoman finally pull the coats from a rack, citing a "problem" with them. The jackets, part of Combs' fall line for men and women, came in black, brown or cream, with the women's versions rendered in leather.

More on the Diddy-Fur Controversy

Update from the previous post. Looks like the largest retailer of Sean John apparel, Macy's Department stores has pulled the jacket in question, as reported by the Dallas Morning News.

Orlando Veras, a spokesman at Macy's, a division of Federated Department Stores Inc., confirmed Friday that the retailer had removed the jackets, releasing a statement saying that it has a "long-standing policy against the selling of any dog or cat fur." He continued, "This policy is clearly communicated to all suppliers." The Sean John jackets -- one a snorkel style, the other a classic version -- had been labeled "raccoon fur," but were advertised as faux fur, Pacelle said.

The Bad Boy CEO, Sean Combs released a statement regarding the jacket.
In a statement by Sean "Diddy" Combs released by his publicist Hampton Carney, the designer said: "I was completely unaware of the nature of this material, but as soon as we were alerted, the garments were pulled off the Macy's floor and Web site. I have instructed our outerwear licensee to cease the production of any garments using this material immediately."
No word on any further details.

Combs and Sean John Fur Controversy

Sean 'Diddy' Combs the fashion mogul, has landed in another dispute this time over his Sean John label for apparently using genuine fur.

Rap mogul SEAN COMBS' fashion label Sean John is at the centre of controversy after an animal rights charity discovered his 'faux fur jacket' is actually made from raccoon fur. The Humane Society Of The United States (HSUS) claim MACy's department store chain is selling a coat advertised as having an "imitation rabbit fur collar" and "nylon/faux fur/goose down". The HSUS bought the article, only to find the labels stated the jacket was made from "genuine raccoon fur".
Nonetheless, if true the retailer MACY's will remove the merchandise as part of store policy.

Biggie's Ready to Die Among TIME's ALL-Time 100 Albums

Time Magazine has selected Bad Boy Record's 1994 Biggie Smalls' 'Ready to Die' among the magazine's all-time 100 albums. Its among a very small selection of rap/hip hop albums making the list..

From Time.com
Christopher Wallace was a Brooklyn drug dealer, and, if his early interviews are to be believed, not a very nice one. Luckily, this was not his signal accomplishment. On Ready to Die Wallace took his street corner experiences and filtered them through his considerable charm. The result was a record that mixed long stretches of menace ("Things Done Changed," "Everyday Struggle") with romance ("One More Chance") and lots of humor. No rapper ever made multi-syllabic rhymes ("Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis/ When I was dead broke man I couldn't picture this") sound as smooth.
A nice accomplishment to be named among so many greats.

The case of whistle-blowing has more implications, according to NBC4, involving allegations of a coverup in a major LAPD homicide investigation -- the murder of rap artist, Biggie Smalls. The rapper's murder back in the 1990s is entangled in the sexual harassment litigation because officer Christle was part of an LAPD team that reviewed the investigative files, Chatman reported. Biggie/Pac Movie Unlikely

The planned Sylvester Stallone movie about Biggie Smalls and TuPac appears unlikely at this time... From ThugLifeArmy.com
Sylvester Stallone was slated to write, direct and star in a film about the deaths of murdered hip hop rap icons Tupac (2Pac) and Biggie and the Los Angeles Police Department corruption scandal that lurks beneath the story. The film has had many 'working' titles including 'Rampart Scandal', 'Notorious', 'A Detective's Requiem', and 'Thugz Lives'. The film was to center on a massive internal investigation of the LAPD that some say links off-duty officers to the murders of the slain hip hop icons Tupac Shakur (2Pac) and Christopher Wallace, a.k.a. Notorious B.I.G.. Sylvester Stallone has said recently that his plans have stalled and the movie may never make its planned debut on HBO.

Commenting on the film Stallone says "The story was like a modern-day noir written from the point of view of a Detective [Russell] Poole, who basically was railroaded out of the police department because the more he investigated, the dirtier the high rollers in city hall and police commissions and DA offices all appeared to be part of a conspiracy to squash this case. I don't think it'll ever be done because of the amount of lawsuits that would be filed."

Sean John Cracksdown on Counterfeits in Canada

In a statement from Sean John on cracking down on Canadian counterfeits.
Counterfeit goods are flooding the Canadian market, harming legitimate retailers and manufacturers considerably; forcing some to even go belly-up. Despite efforts to prosecute and charge the perpetrators, the globally growing counterfeit trade is not easy to stop and costs the Canadian apparel industry millions of dollars each year. The biggest victim of counterfeit, however, is the consumer. Canadian consumers spend their hard earned money on brands they like and trust, only to discover that they were misled and what they have purchased is not authentic. Sean John, the popular apparel designed by Hip Hop mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs, is taking action against counterfeit apparel. Because of their increasing number of knockoff t-shirts, tracksuits and denim, Sean John knows better than anyone how accessible counterfeit clothing and accessories are at flea markets, street corners, retail stores and internet sites nationwide. Over a year ago, Multigroup (the distributor of Sean John in Canada) retained legal and investigative services to crackdown on the problem. Since then, with the aid of Canadian authorities, thousands of pieces of pirated Sean John were seized. Yet, the battle is far from won. For this reason, Sean John Canada is taking matters into their own hands. Today marks Sean John Canada's anti-counterfeit campaign called "DON'T BUY A LIE." The campaign responds to their copycat crisis by promoting and generating awareness about what's real, what's not, and who's affected through the Canadian media, celebrities, retailers and consumers. Visit www.dontbuyalie.com.
Looks like a good effort to protect consumers and their product.
