ABC has recently announced, Diddy's 'A Raisin in the Sun' will air as an "ABC Premiere Event" and will debut the evening following the Academy Awards. The three-hour television movie features Combs' as executive producer and as the movie's main character Walter Lee, Jr. Also, serving as executive producers are Craig Zadan and Neil Meron. The film also stars Phylicia Rashad, Audra McDonald, Sanaa Lathan and John Stamos.The broadway play turned television movie will air Monday, February 25, 8:00 PM - 11:00 PM on ABC.More information available at the play's official website.
Not Here Diddy: NY Newsday reports Sean "Diddy" Combs, and his annual White Party will have a little less bang. The annual party which is held in East Hampton, where its required all guest are dressed in their best white wardrobe. While East Hampton permitted Combs to host the party, there'll be no fireworks for Diddy.
From Newsday.. "We denied the fireworks but he still can have his party," Bill McGintee said, who added that there were also concerns over another fireworks display being held that same evening at a nearby beach in East Hampton.

Sean "Diddy" Combs is transferring his Broadway experience to the small screen in a new television movie adaptation of Lorraine Hansberry's A Raisin in the Sun. Production recently started on the three-hour feature in Toronto, Canada. The feature will air on ABC during the 2007 season. Combs, who received critical acclaim for his portrayal of Walter Lee Jr. in the theatrical version of the drama, will reunite with fellow castmates Phylicia Rashad, Audra McDonald and Sanaa Lathan.
No word on the ABC Television premiere.
